Goossensia is a monotypic genus in the family Cantharellaceae, established by Heinemann in 1958. It contains the single species Goossensia cibarioides. The genus was described to accommodate a chanterelle-like fungus from the Congo that exhibited unique hymenial characteristics distinguishing it from Cantharellus and Craterellus. Although rare and less studied than its relatives, it is recognized as a valid genus in current taxonomic authorities. The genus is of interest for its evolutionary position within the Cantharellales. It shares the general cantharelloid body plan but is separated based on the specific structure of its spore-bearing surface and other micromorphological features.
