WOLS v1.1 adds clonal generation tracking to monitor culture health over transfers, adopts JSON-LD for interoperability with agricultural data systems, and ships production-ready Python and TypeScript libraries. The spec is CC 4.0. The tooling is Apache 2.0. Both are free forever.
