Eichleriella is a genus of wood-inhabiting fungi that was recently reinstated and redefined based on molecular evidence. Unlike the gelatinous Exidia, species in this genus typically form stereoid (leathery/crust-like) to cupulate fruit bodies. It represents a distinct lineage within the Auriculariaceae that has evolved a drier, more persistent morphology compared to its jelly fungus relatives.
