Golden Curtain Crust
A thin, tough, shell-shaped bracket with concentric bands of yellowish red to dark brown on a hairy upper surface and a smooth, pore-less underside. The name comes from material described from Java. DNA work shows that North American 'false turkey tails' long called S. ostrea are other species, mainly S. lobatum and S. fasciatum.
Inedible; the flesh is tough.
