Nectriopsis is a genus of fungicolous and lichenicolous fungi. They are often recognized by their habit of growing parasitically on other fungi, slime molds (myxomycetes), or lichens. The genus is morphologically diverse but unified by its ecology and specific perithecial traits. The perithecia are often minute and immersed in a subiculum (a web of mycelium).
