Butyriboletus is a genus of fungi in the family Boletaceae, circumscribed in 2014 to accommodate the 'butter boletes' which were previously classified within the genus Boletus (section Appendiculati). These species are phylogenetically distinct from the core Boletus edulis clade (porcini). The genus is recognized for its high-quality edible species and distinct yellow coloration of the pores, stipe, and flesh, resembling butter.
