Brick Caps, Sulphur Tufts

Genus of clustered, wood- or moss-dwelling brown-to-purple-brown spored mushrooms. Includes the edible, log-cultivated brick cap (H. lateritium) and conifer tuft (H. capnoides), and the poisonous sulphur tuft (H. fasciculare), which must be carefully separated from them.
